"Oh NO" moment #1

Had a large map all finished and printing when I noticed marks on the map not related to the map. Leftovers from "Saving As" and using an older transportation map as a template. Anyway, stopped that print, corrected mistakes and started reprint.

Plotter still said CANCELING, so I sent the print to another plotter....straight from ArcMap and didn't realized it changed the page size. Note to self: never print the map unless it's pdf. So, all my call-outs I'd created in layout were moved.

Back to drawing board. I exited out the map and didn't save, which canceled out a correction I had made!!! Didn't realize this and started printing to original plotter. When I checked on the print, I realized what I did and canceled the print again.

Tried to make the correction from memory, then exported to PDF. Sent to the fast plotter (not original plotter). Worked this time.

Moral of the story.... print from PDF when at all possible.
